Something Else

Autumn/Winter 2006 saw the introduction of SOMETHING ELSE by Natalie Wood, the newest instalment from Natalie and her friends. Deciding to push the boundaries once again, Something Else is a culmination of all her experiences with creating previous labels over the years. The result is an extension of the original Something program that caters to the consumer who has an aesthetic and offbeat sensibility. The collection is an artful collaboration that allows Natalie to experiment with even more directional styling than Something, and offers up a broad array of beautiful and clever graphics and prints, fused with clashes of colour and intricate textile placement on a variety of fabrications from cotton poplin and jersey through to delicate silk and lace. Natalie's draws from a wide variety of cultural and environmental influences, including her love for animals, nature, art, music and popular culture, which manifests itself as a fusion of tough street chic balanced with a delicate, feminine innocence.
