Ryan Storer

Ryan Storer is a Sydney based designer, he studied design in Tokyo in 2001 after spending a year in Melbourne making leather handbags and belts. Ryan met Jeaq, a Japanese resin designer who had been commissioned to produce pieces from antiques combining with resin and modern concepts, which were highly praised by some of Japans most influential designers including those under the COMME DES GARCONS umbrella. Ryan and Jeaq worked together as much as possible, when visiting Japan they would produce limited edition skull concept jewellery using resin and sterling silver. Mickey Dokuro was then developed from a collective costume produced for a friend’s end of year fashion parade, the concept of the collection was “Disney afterlife” and produced in an 18inch 25kg test run……… Mickey Dokuro was born… and caused minor neck trauma.
