Bassike

Bassike is a new Australian men’s and womenswear label by Deborah Sams and Mary Lou Ryan that offers Australian made basics in the latest shapes, fabrics and colours.Tired of travelling the globe to find that perfect tee, hoodie or track pant Sams and Ryan have developed their own range of basics that is effortless, laidback and beautiful. Each piece is made in Australia using rich, superfine organic cotton that is soft and luxurious. “We develop all our own fabrics and create shapes that we want to wear. Both Mary Lou and I have a very simplistic style that is about quality and cut with no obvious, in-your-face branding.” Deborah Sams. The bassike girl’s tees are tomboyish, looser fitting and will be sold with a raw hem so that they can be cut to whatever length desired, with the tanks longer and leaner. The collection will also feature some kookier, more interesting shapes that won’t be found anywhere else. Menswear is paired down and consits of clean and simple tees, cardigans and hoodies that work well back with denim.
